My life in a nutshell:

Chaordic - (kay'ordic) 1: anything simultaneously orderly and chaotic.

Lucid Dream(width)

It's time to come back to journaling, I think - but given the current scenario with LJ, catch me over on Dreamwidth.org - https://indigotea.dreamwidth.org/

At last...

So - 4th quarter 2014 can suck it, and good riddance to it. That being said, brightness began to return with the safe birth of the latest g-kid, and the safe separation of D and pack from an inhospitable domestic situation. All insurance hooferah over the totalling of Willow has been resolved, physical issues seem to be on the mend, and today - I got My Newest Car.

Morrigan is the new and improved recon vehicle - I so loved driving Willow that I had to get another RX-8. Three weeks to get her shipped in from Connecticut, inspected, and declared fit for Texas soil. If anything, she's even more nimble than her predecessor - whee!!!

Onward to a new year, with renewed focus and joy. Opened up my first investment account in many, many years - let's see if this will be more interesting than retail therapy.

Heck of a way to start off a year

Rear-ended at high speed at 12:15 AM this morning. Car is a total loss, but everyone was able to walk away. Gorramit.

Goodbye, Walker

We lost Walker (Walks In Snow, Empress Walker), our long-haired tuxedo last night. She was 15, so not entirely unexpected. We always thought her brother Fuzz would go first, but life has its own surprises. We wanted her to be at home, with family - I'm waiting for the cremation service to come pick her up now.

Just wanting to remember the lyrics...

"In Your Eyes"

love I get so lost, sometimes
days pass and this emptiness fills my heart
when I want to run away
I drive off in my car
but whichever way I go
I come back to the place you are

all my instincts, they return
and the grand facade, so soon will burn
without a noise, without my pride
I reach out from the inside

in your eyes
the light the heat
in your eyes
I am complete
in your eyes
I see the doorway to a thousand churches
in your eyes
the resolution of all the fruitless searches
in your eyes
I see the light and the heat
in your eyes
oh, I want to be that complete
I want to touch the light
the heat I see in your eyes

love, I don't like to see so much pain
so much wasted and this moment keeps slipping away
I get so tired of working so hard for our survival
I look to the time with you to keep me awake and alive

and all my instincts, they return
and the grand facade, so soon will burn
without a noise, without my pride
I reach out from the inside

in your eyes
the light the heat
in your eyes
I am complete
in your eyes
I see the doorway to a thousand churches
in your eyes
the resolution of all the fruitless searches
in your eyes
I see the light and the heat
in your eyes
oh, I want to be that complete
I want to touch the light,
the heat I see in your eyes
in your eyes in your eyes
in your eyes in your eyes
in your eyes in your eyes

It is March 1, 2012, at a touch after 4 p.m.

It is 82 degrees Fahrenheit outside. We are not amused.

Grateful.

I am so very grateful for good people in my world, who believe in me, and enable me to remember that I'm a worthwhile, capable person.

I'm grateful that I get to do something I love and enjoy, and have a never-ending supply of humor, variety, growth and wonder in the process.

I'm grateful that I can sit down, and pay my bills, and know that I have a safe, peaceful place to live, food to eat, and endless options in front of me.

Shoes.

I woke up in a great mood this morning, after having a great day yesterday. Then I started processing the news.  Now - I'm looking at shoes. Just shoes. That's about the only thing I can find right now that doesn't feel like arsenic for the spirit.

Releasing the Reigns
Changing Others

When we feel the need to change others, take the time to look inside yourself, find the mirror and the message.

Boy, if this isn't a call-out to my control issues...Collapse )

Boosting the Signal...

From
newsenseofself :

"I have a nine-month-old son Alexander who has been sick since birth. He is constantly throwing up and is in the fifth percentile for weight.

After nine months of several specialists and now developmental specialists as well, he is finally at a point where they are willing to run tests on him, but his tests, even with insurance are 1k.

I am by no means asking for 1k, but any donations toward his care would be so appreciated right now.

I knit and sew, and could do commissions toward his care."
